Welcome to one of the finest communities in Grand Junction. The original 400 acre farm/ranch was owned previously by Charles N Cox who was one of the founders of the sugar beet factory. He lived in the historic house that is located near the entrance to the property on Unaweep which used to be C Road. The Page family also owned the property after Charles N Cox. John Page was very instrumental in placement of the irrigation system on Orchard Mesa to Palisade. The last owner of the property was Marie Mahan. Her and her sons are the namesake for Mahan Manor and its streets.
In 2008, the property (which had dwindled to 10 acres from its original 400) was purchased by a developer and 32 homes built on the historic farmland. The Victorian farmhouse and barn sit on the property on 1 acre in it is original spot. The addition of the beehive from Saunders Welding on Patterson Road joined Mahan Manor in 2021.
The common areas are currently managed by the Manager and the Homeowners’ Association Board of Directors.
